The High Calling of Holiness

The first twelve verses, one long sentence in Greek, contained no commands or imperatives but rather an extended description of what God has done for us in bringing salvation. Now Peter begins to describe the implications of living out this great salvation. Christians were rescued from past ignorance and futility and are now called to be holy in all areas of life. This is a high and wonderful calling from a good and loving Father.
